This beautiful light is the first conical brick light of this type to be constructed in Michigan since 1892. The Tri-Centennial light is a reproduction of the Tawas Point Light and built as a tribute to the maritime history of the Great Lakes. It stands 63 feet tall and was built in 2003 in Detroit.
