This illustrative image is for encouragement to Christians. It combines symbolic elements of a number of Bible passages to form a concept of being chosen to carry authority in Christ. It is inspired by the story of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15, where the father commands a ring be put on his son’s finger, referencing back to the stories of both Joseph and Mordecai (Gen 41, Est 8)i, Joseph given a coat of many colors, and both given rings – rings represented authority to rule. In the same was, in Luke 10 Jesus said He gave His followers authority. I picture it as a ring with power, sending off beams of light that make the darkness run. It is meant as a blessing and encouragement to use said authority. (Note that I don't consider myself or my art religious but rather that I have faith in Christ and a relationship with Him.)
