If we go and ask God to try and explain,
the reason for suffering, heartache, and pain;
His answer won't be an answer at all,
but a challenge, a purpose, a duty, a call.
When evil descends with intent to devour,
God says, "Go change it", that we have the power.
He set the example, He showed us the way.
He gave us authority through words that we say.
Our courage grows stronger from trials we face.
Our spirit is strengthened by running the race.
So, rather than give us the things we desire,
He gives us the tools that we will require.
Faith can transform those questioning, "Why?"
into spiritual warriors, who are willing to try.
Into armored believers unwilling to hear,
the voices of demons delivering fear.
We can bask in our troubles, bathe in our woes,
or praise God for challenges, struggles, and blows.
We can whine and complain of how life is unfair,
or go change the world with the words we declare.
