This 22nd birthday card for a granddaughter was inspired by the time I spent exploring Paris, where art, culture, and everyday life seem to blend so effortlessly. I filled my sketchbook with quick drawings of bustling cafés, charming pâtisseries, colourful shopfronts, and elegant details that caught my eye as I wandered through the city's streets. Those observations became the foundation for this whimsical illustration, painted with loose watercolour washes and expressive hand-drawn linework. Through this design, I wanted to capture the warmth, creativity, and joie de vivre that make Paris so inspiring, creating a cheerful keepsake to celebrate a granddaughter's special 22nd birthday.
