| Artist Notes: | This 29th birthday card for a granddaughter was inspired by the elegant window displays of Parisian pātisseries, where every arrangement is carefully composed like a work of art. I was captivated by the balance of colour, texture, and intricate detail, from handcrafted cakes and delicate pastries to beautiful ribbons and decorative finishing touches. Those impressions found their way into my sketchbook before evolving into this whimsical watercolour illustration. Through expressive linework and a soft painterly style, I hoped to capture the creativity, beauty, and everyday magic that make French pātisserie culture such an endless source of inspiration. |
