| Artist Notes: | This 34th birthday card for a granddaughter was inspired by the belief that life's sweetest moments are often the simplest. Beautiful cakes, delicate pastries, colourful confections, and joyful celebrations all remind me that special days deserve to be savoured. Drawing on memories of French pātisseries and my own sketchbook studies, I used loose watercolour painting and expressive hand-drawn details to create an illustration that feels cheerful, artistic, and full of warmth. My hope is that this design captures the happiness of sharing sweet treats and making a birthday a truly memorable occasion. |
