While living in a small cottage along the Mendocino Coast, this was the place I entered the beach for my late afternoon walk. Many of my coastal oil paintings focused on shapes, shadows, and the interplay of orange and blue. While many folks focus on looking toward the sun during the sunset, I've always found sunsets interesting in all directions. This image on its own is very weighted to the right, which is why I weighted my digitally generated border to the left.
