This design shows a Hanukkah scene that includes Hanukkah items like a menorah, dreidel, and latkes. A table is set before a window with a menorah-style Hanukkah lamp lit on the last night of Hanukkah. It is shown at night, the time for lighting the Hanukkah flames, and is placed before a window. This is in accordance with the tradition of lighting the lamp where others will see it and be reminded of the Hanukkah story and its miracles. A spinning dreidel is shown, with the two Hebrew letters that win the most gelt or coins in the dreidel game. Several coins are beside the dreidel. Next to the menorah, a plate of latkes (fried potato pancakes) sits ready to be eaten. Decorative borders add liveliness to the design. The effect is of a joyful Hanukkah scene.
