Three Asian works of art are combined for this Chinese New Year card for the Year of the Rabbit / Hare. An orange and yellow sun was added to the willow background found on an antique silk screen. The cute rabbit is from a 200-year-old drawing titled "Hare and Dandelions." The top and bottom borders in muted green tones add visual texture and depth and were taken from the design inside a lacquer writing box. These centuries-old elements combine to make a fresh new artwork for the Chinese New Year.
