Translation front of card: "Merry Christmas" in Danish (Glaedelig Jul). This elegant card features my illustration of the three Wise Men or Magi, carrying gifts, the star of Bethlehem guiding the way. Gold effect on this design was created digitally. The bones of the Magi (which were brought to Cologne from Milan in 1164) or reliquary are kept in a golden shrine in the cathedral of Cologne, which was built for this purpose in the 13th century. Underneath the cathedral are the remains of a 9th century cathedral and a previous church, dating from the 6th century.
