Wish your nephew and his wife Merry Christmas with a religious card featuring a Nativity Scene, Mary and Joseph standing by Baby Jesus with a Shepard boy holding a crook with his sheep. The inside message is May the true meaning of Christmas fill your hearts with love during this joyous season and bring you peace throughout the New Year! Design by Laurie Schneider, elements by Nini Scraps. St. Francis of Assisi, is credited with staging the first nativity scene in 1223. The only historical account we have of Francis’ nativity scene comes from The Life of St. Francis of Assisi by St. Bonaventure, a Franciscan monk who was born five years before Francis’ death.
