Design by Laurie Schneider, elements by Digital Designs by Elena, Diana'z Designz. Birds don’t have sweat glands, which means they need to do something different to stay cool. Doves simply pant heavily, much like canines, which allows heat to escape their bodies through the lungs. They might also flutter their wings rapidly in an attempt to cool off. Due to the amount they pant, white doves can dehydrate rapidly. This is why they also drink a considerable amount of water.
