My Mother’s Day White Flower in Watercolor card (with a Christian blessing) could be also been entitled “Color and Purity of My Beautiful Mom.” I think of it that way because of the feel of splashes of primary color in the background, contrasted with the white of the flower. It was not actually planned that way, it was one of those paintings that just happened – it did not come out as I intended, but as more. This often happens when I am painting in watercolor. The image inspired me to think of a woman who can combine both vibrancy of color and purity of heart. She is a rare woman. How much more amazing when that woman is your mom! I was never one to be shy to tell those I love what I appreciate about them, and that I love them. That’s something that I hope to make easy for others in the message of this card as well. Note that the scripture quote is from the World English Bible.
