The link between Jesus and His Blessed Mother is a pure, inseparable bond. I was inspired by G. K. Chesterton's comment that the two holy halos of Jesus and Mary are so intertwined that they are almost impossible to separate. The phrase "Jesus carried His Blessed Mother in His Heart" came to me in a sudden moment of inspiration. I've always wanted to design a card with that sentiment, and I realized it is the perfect basis for a Catholic Mother's Day card. Hence, this card depicts an image of the Blessed Mother holding the infant Jesus, yet the words convey the mirror opposite: Jesus carrying His Blessed Mother. The inside sentiment reflects a personal, heartfelt reflection of the same reality, that is how we carry our own mothers in our hearts.
