A humorous wish for a Joyful Solstice for cat lovers. Uh-huh. You’ve likely seen cats on the internet happily scurrying along on skateboards or wandering the great outdoors along hiking trails with their humans, or simply rigged up with harness and leash to enjoy a nice promenade. #Those cats aren’t ours.# This card arose from the ashes of those desires - my own imaginings of what would REALLY ensue should we attempt such escapades! That lead cat, the one enjoying the ride? That’s Odan, our three-legged maelstrom. The one redesigning the mister’s face is Shadow - who, not appreciating being held, once freaked at some sound and (temporarily, fortunately) left me with a mangled lip. The one with one claw in the sled and one in my derriere is Sylvester, another who dislikes being held and will use claws to disavow you of the notion that picking him up is a good idea.
