Despite some older cats taking themselves so seriously and remaining so distant, this playful cartoon is so carefully conceived and executed that it becomes adult liberation art, helping the holiday feel less ponderous, less ritualistic, and much more personable. Love can be expressed with fun and joy, not in hushed respectful tones....Dog, bird, reptile, and insect lovers will feel envious.
