Nineteenth Century artist Hoksuai, known for his "Great Wave of Kanagawa", also painted a scene of Japan's famous Amida Waterfall in 1827. This image was adapted for the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Monkey, by adding a golden monkey and the Chinese characters which wish the recipient a "Happy New Year." Anyone who admires Asian art will appreciate this lovely greeting for the Chinese New Year. Currently, the date reads "2028" but it may be changed to any date you wish as the Chinese zodiac cycles through the decades.
