As a traditional watercolour painter I have always admired the Victorian and Edwardian artists. Although somewhat derided these days I admire their skill and craftsmanship. It was my goal to be able to paint like them. This has all the elements of a classic winter painting from that era. I have concentrated on introducing warmth into the painting even though it is clearly winter.
