Adorable penguins, one in pink, ice skating wearing a scarf, bow, and earmuffs behind a little one sitting on a bench, while one in blue is standing in the snow just looking cute. Original design by Laurie Schneider, elements by Nini Scrap, La Galerie de Jackie. Several ice-skating ponds sprang up around New York City in the early 19th century, but these catered almost exclusively to the upper class. Central Park changed that when its first skating pond opened in the winter of 1858.
