Celebrate King Kamehameha Day on June 11 with a design featuring a new portrait of the King inspired by an original drawing of Kamehameha I by Louis Choris (1795-1828.) The Hawaiian Islands are pictured on a background that gives the impression of antique parchment. Kamehameha the First is credited with uniting the islands into a single nation. The motto of Hawaii is at the bottom. Translated from Hawaiian, it says "The Life of the Land is Perpetuated in Righteousness." This is a beautiful card for King Kamehameha Day as Hawaiians celebrate their unity as a people, and the great King who brought this about.
