A lovely way to collect memories of a loved one from the people who have often known them all of their lives. You could collect many stories you were not even aware of from such a gathering of friends and family. It is a sad fact that many people lose touch with friends over the years and often the only time such a unique gathering of people with these stories and memories to share are in the same place at the same time, is at the funeral of the man they all knew. Be sure to order plenty of these as many of the "old timers" could probably half a dozen of these.Perhaps some could read out after the service as a beautiful tribute to your loved one. The cards could be sent as invitations to the service and/or placed in the church or venue for people to fill out.
