The tradition of celebrating a Sweet Sixteen has always felt wonderfully special to me, a milestone filled with excitement, new beginnings, and unforgettable memories. That sense of joy inspired this whimsical illustration, where playful hand-drawn details, soft watercolour washes, and cheerful decorative touches come together to create a design that feels both uplifting and timeless. I created this artwork especially for a niece celebrating her 16th birthday, hoping it captures the happiness, confidence, and dreams that make a Sweet Sixteen such a treasured occasion and becomes a keepsake she'll look back on with a smile for years to come.
