Many of my designs begin as quick sketches in a well-used sketchbook, inspired by the places I love to explore. Time spent wandering through French streets, cafés, and little markets has taught me to notice the beauty in everyday details, and those memories often find their way into my illustrations. My art school training encouraged me to observe, experiment, and tell stories through line and colour, and that creative approach still shapes every piece I paint today. I created this artwork especially for a niece celebrating her 27th birthday, hoping it captures a little of that joy, creativity, and French-inspired charm while becoming a keepsake she'll treasure for years to come.
