It starts with the sound. Not barking — something longer, fuller… a voice that carried. You could hear it before you saw them, that unmistakable call stretching across distance, turning open space into something shared. An American Foxhound doesn’t belong to stillness. They belong to movement, to trails, to the kind of space that lets a sound travel. This piece wasn’t built around how they looked. It was built around that feeling — the way presence could reach you from far away. Even here, on the rainbow bridge, you don’t imagine silence. You imagine that voice, just out of range now… still out there somewhere. “Forever Loved, Forever Missed” becomes something you don’t just remember — it’s something you still listen for.
